Lego and Architetcure

One of m favourite things to do as a kid was to play with Lego. We had all these different sets from Harry Potter to Star Wars. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw that their had combined Lego with some of the world's most amazing architectural structures. Architecture has always been something that I admired greatly so to be able to build my own Guggenhiem museum and have it in my room is pretty cool. I want to desperately get the one of the Sydney Opera House as it is the most beautiful building in the world in my opinion. Some of them are a bit pricey, but come on.. its Lego!

Back from Market

I can't believe that I haven't shared these photo's with you guys yet. Well these were taken when I went to the Art & Design Market and couple of weekends ago. It was such a lovely day with the sun shinning and lots of people cramming in to wonder around and look at all the stalls. Unfortunately I didn't end up purchasing anything, but there were so many great things that I wish I could of gotten my hands on. I am already looking forward to the next market in November, which I'll probably purchase most of my Christmas gifts from.

I also just wanted to give a little shout out to Emma from Milk Thieves Art & Design who puts so much work into organising these markets. It is always such a great day out, so thank you Emma for all the hard work :)

Art & Design Market

I am very excited to be attending the Art and Design Market in Wollongong this Sunday. It is always such fun and great day with the looking around at all the goodies and talking to the lovely vendors. If you live in the area then be sure to make an appearance and to buy a lot of goodies while your there. As for me, I'll be there bright and early so I can get first picks of all the great items for sale. Also if you are coming then be sure to let me know as I would love to meet you and say hello :)

Attia

I hope to one day own such pretty kitchen and dining ware such as these when I eventually move out of home. These amazing pieces are from the collection of the Australian design label, Attia. They embrace nature and promote a lifestyle that is simple yet chic by using multifunctional pieces that inspire natural beauty at the dinner table. All their pieces are handmade and are made from either wood or ceramic material. I definitely have my eye on the wooden spoons and the white mug with saucer. Could you imagine if you whole kitchen area was like this, it would be so magical.

Snugstudio Breadboard

I have discovered the adorable esty store called snugstudio that sells these adorable wooden breadboards. I could imagine using these as serving plates for the little kiddies, which then makes me want to be a kid again.

Lauren Carney Brooch Collaboration

Brisbane based artist Lauren Carney has recently teamed up with Sydney based jewelery designers, Made By White, to bring you a cute collection of wooden laser cut brooches. I've been eying up these dreamy things since I first saw them on Lauren's blog, particularly the last one of the Indian. These are way too cute to miss out on so be quick as they are limited edition and are selling fast.

The Bow Collar

Bow ties have started to become a necessity to both boys and girls wardrobes, I myself have one. They are smart, stylish and as the Doctor says himself, 'Bow ties are cool'. So it seems only natural that I would want my dog to look just as good as me with his very own bow tie. Silly Buddy sells a wide selection of handmade bow tie dog collars and are made of 100% cotton. I mean how adorable are these, I am totally wishing to buy one for our dog. Imagine your dog wearing one of these to a special event like a birthday party or even a wedding. Like you wouldn't want to show off your dog wearing a bow tie :)

Design Life Shop

Design Life Shop is a online shop based in Australia where you can find unique objects, beautiful homewares and creative gifts. These are a few pieces that I adore but my absolute favourite is the camera lamp in the first picture. I also already own the tape dispenser in the third picture, which sits on my desk looking pretty cool. I definitely recommend everyone to check this store out to see what might take your fancy.

Keep Calm and...

One of the most iconic images of the 21st century from Britain are the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' posters. I'm sure that everyone knows the history behind the poster so I won't bore you with a history lecture. It's such a great saying isn't, simple yet packed with so much meaning. It has also become a saying I learn to live by from day to day. So it is only natural that I want a poster myself.

What I also love about 'Keep Calm and Carry On' is that it has inspired other people to create posters based around its simple design and saying. KeepCalmShop is a great little esty store that sells numbers of posters that bring a sense of humor and inspire us to continue doing the things we love to do. Their are a lot of very cute posters that I would love to put up on my wall. I especially would love the 'Keep Calm and Paint On' and the 'Keep Calm and Snap On'.

On another note I hope everyone is enjoying this weeks posts so far. I have been having a lot of fun putting these together for you guys. Also I won't be posting tomorrow as I will be having a little me time as all my majors will have be done and over with. Don't worry though, this weekend I have two great posts to finish off my British week.

If I could only pick one type of jewelery I could wear it would definitely have to be and would be necklaces. They can just say a lot about the person and like who they were and such. I tend to go towards the ones that are just a little bit unique, mostly the long necklace chains with a vute object hanging off it. I currently have my eyes on these ones over at the Etsy store so maybe I might spoil myself closer to when I am on holidays.

Also sorry guys for the lack of posts as Blogger has been having maintenance issues so I haven't been able to get onto my account since Wednesday. I also have a lot of exciting things to share with you guys over the next week so stay turned.

365 Knitting Clock

Have you got the time to knit a scarf in time for winter? Well why not let someone else do it, in this case a clock. Siren Elise Wilhelmsen is a designer from Germany who has won public attention for her unique products. Designing products that have a personality and humour her aim is to produce products that challenge how people interacte with their surroundings. Above you see her product 365 knitting clock. As a funtional product its quite fantastic but I love the concept and the idea it represents. It visualises and shows us time as a three-dimensional form over the course of an entire year. Time is a constant moving thing each day which is registered as one round around the clock. After a whole year has passed the has finish a 2 metre long scarf where by then the yarn is replaced and a new year can be knitted.
