Kevin Tran is a Sydney based artist, illustrator and graphic designer who creates these really awesome, quirky limited edition prints. I'm in love with his mixed media works from 2010 of these hybrid animal's. The colour's in them are just so bright and colourful with these hues of blue, pink and purple. I also love it how the colour's just drip down the image giving it a really nice effect.
If you're interested in learning a bit more about Kevin Tran's work be sure to visit his website and over here is a great interview with him about his art and inspiration.
I also just wanted to say a little sorry if I have seem a bit distant from my blog and posting. I've only been back for a week at uni and I already feel like I have no time to spare. Hopefully I will get back into the roll of things in the next week or two :)

Lauren Carney Brooch Collaboration
Brisbane based artist Lauren Carney has recently teamed up with Sydney based jewelery designers, Made By White, to bring you a cute collection of wooden laser cut brooches. I've been eying up these dreamy things since I first saw them on Lauren's blog, particularly the last one of the Indian. These are way too cute to miss out on so be quick as they are limited edition and are selling fast.
If you'd like to purchase one of these lovely brooches just head to dizzylittledotty on Etsy and be sure to also check out Lauren's official website and facebook page as well :)

The Bow Collar
Bow ties have started to become a necessity to both boys and girls wardrobes, I myself have one. They are smart, stylish and as the Doctor says himself, 'Bow ties are cool'. So it seems only natural that I would want my dog to look just as good as me with his very own bow tie. Silly Buddy sells a wide selection of handmade bow tie dog collars and are made of 100% cotton. I mean how adorable are these, I am totally wishing to buy one for our dog. Imagine your dog wearing one of these to a special event like a birthday party or even a wedding. Like you wouldn't want to show off your dog wearing a bow tie :)

Much Love Monday
Be sure to join in next week for Much Love Monday
I wasn't going to do a 'Much Love' today after my first day back at uni it was something nice to come back too. As I shared with you guys yesterday, I am starting a new class called Mixed Media and after my first class I am actually really keen about it. This semester we are looking at landscapes, which is one of my least favourite subjects to do, but our teacher is all about abstract so it should be interesting. Plus I already have an idea of what I would like to do, but it's still in the works so hopefully I'll have a definite idea by class next week. So yeah I am totally loving the idea of getting back into drawing as I haven't done it seriously for about a year. Next week our class is planning to go to the botanical gardens to do some drawing which will be lovely :)

Going back
Some lovely images that really inspired me this week by Imapirateee.
Today is my last day of freedom before I go back to uni on Monday morning. Even though I hate the idea of getting out of bed at 7 in the morning I am looking forward to going back. One it's always great hanging out with uni friends and classes are always fun. Plus I finally have something to do with my days again. I enjoy my holidays don't get me wrong but I do like having something to look forward to each day. I also hope to share a lot more with you guys with my adventures at uni and also works that I do in class, which I think you guys would enjoy. Anyway I hope all you had yourselves a lovely weekend and as well have a great week ahead of you :)

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
What do you do on a day when your stuck indoors from the rain? For me it means drinking Irish breakfast tea, eating homemade cupcakes, putting on my slippers and watching a dvd. I have been re-kindling my love for Sex and the City by watching the last series. What is everyone else's routine when stuck indoors from the rain?
On another note I have reached 75 google followers on my blog, which to me is really exciting. It's great to see how far I have come with my blog over the past year and I really have to thank all you guys you read and follow it. Next month I am trying to organise a little something for you guys so be on the look out for hints on my facebook page :)

Grey Skies
I have been spending so much time indoors the past couple of weeks with my cold a while back and also it's been raining a lot. So instead of just sitting inside and keeping warm, I opted for the chance to get out my camera and to go outside to take some pretty pictures of the rain. I love taking photo's on days when its overcast as it's such a good opportunity to get some amazing shots. These photo's are just taken in my backyard because personally, it's really pretty :)
I also just wanted to remind everyone that my blog has a facebook fan page where you can keep up to date on posts and also see sneak peaks. So be sure to check it out and like it, thanks if you do.

Deidre But-Husaim
Today I would like to share with you guys my latest art crush, Deidre But-Husaim. She is a Australian artist who works and lives in Adelaide, Australia. Through her eyes, images of young aspiring model's become a blank canvas onto which she paints these elaborate tattoo designs. By doing this she raises her subjects from being the unknown and unwanted, into an image of true beauty. She has also branded them as her own creation, which to me almost makes it seems as if these are not real people, but as something of the imaginary. As if true beauty like this cannot exist in our world.
Although I would never get a tattoo that big, her painting's almost make me want to go and get one like these. They just look so pretty so I think too compromise I will do some face painting next time I am in need to dress up for a occasion.
All image's were found on Deidre But-Husaim's offical website.

Design Life Shop
Design Life Shop is a online shop based in Australia where you can find unique objects, beautiful homewares and creative gifts. These are a few pieces that I adore but my absolute favourite is the camera lamp in the first picture. I also already own the tape dispenser in the third picture, which sits on my desk looking pretty cool. I definitely recommend everyone to check this store out to see what might take your fancy.

Much Love Monday
Be sure to join in next week for Much Love Monday
Harry Potter - I can't believe that it's all over. I cried so much while watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and like most of the world I have been suffering from Post-Potter Depression. In reaction to this I have started re-reading the entire book series and after that I will have a Harry Potter DVD marathon.
A clean bedroom - My bedroom has been absolutely spotless the past two days and isn't just such a great feeling sitting in a clean room. I really need to make it a habit to tidy my room every day or at least when it starts to look a little messy.
Vintage skirts- I have picked up 4 skirts from my last couple of trips to the op shops and they are so pretty. Plus they are such a bargain as well. I will have to share a outfit post soon with you guys.
I am also sharing a guest post over at Tornadoes and Tigers so be sure to pop over and hello :)

Stylestalker SS12 Lookbook
Stylestalker SS12 Lookbook
"Young Hollywood"
photography: kimberley gordonmodel: alex spencer
styling: us (sue-ann + rach) and christeric
'This season we borrowed the elegance of classic Hollywood sirens, and made it our own with a healthy dose of 90s grunge. Kathryn Hepburn meets Courtney Love. Sophia Loren meets childhood Drew Barrymore. The aim was to mess up timeless sophistication with rock’n’roll swagger.'
Style Stalker's new lookbook Young Hollywood is so beautiful. It has such a old and classic Hollywood feel to it, kind of like a old film you can never watch too many times. I am totally loving this pale blue colour that has been used with the collection. I am totally wishing that I could add something from this collection into my wardrobe this summer. Be sure to check out the whole of the collection on Style Stalkers website here.
I can't believe that I am already thinking about outfit ideas for this coming summer. I am already missing the days when you could get away with a pretty dress and a pair of sandles.
