Girl holding a paintbrush

Top Cotton On, Bowler hat Market HQ, Vintage skirt/brooch

I thought it was about time that I took some photos of me actually holding a paintbrush, since it's the name of my blog. Anyway I have been enjoying my week off from uni as it's given me some time to just relax and do lots of drawing. On Friday I have a fun day planned for myself where I'm going to be a Plein air artist for the day. For art newbies, Plein air artists are painters who paint on location in the open air. So it should be a fun and interesting day for me. I have a few spots in mind and I'll be sure to share my drawings/paintings and photos of the locations where I did them.

I just purchased this skirt on my last op shop adventure and I'm absolutely loving it. My obsession with pretty skirts is becoming a bit of a problem as I no longer have room in my closet for any more. Might be time for another clean out of old clothes that aren't need anymore. So sad yet good as then I can buy more :)

The Mustard Dress

(Veronika Maine dress, MARKET Bowler hat c/o Market HQ, Siren wedges)

So this is the part two from the outfit post I shared with you guys on Tuesday HERE. At this very moment I am leaning more towards this dress as I just felt so comfortable and easy wearing it. I do absolutely love this dress from my favourite clothing line, Veronika Maine, as that mustard colour is just amazing. Another great thing about this outfit is that I feel really arty in it and I also get to wear my bowler hat that I love to death. But I am still eager to see what you guys think I should wear on Friday. So be sure to leave a comment here or go to my Chictopia and vote on which one you like best.

On another note, I have spent the past couple of nights updating my About, Sponsorship Information and Submission pages with more details and some pretty pictures. It was such a good feeling when I finished it as I know I won't have to update them in for a while now :)

The Green Dress

(Veronika Maine dress, Nine West heels)

I was so excited to share with you guys another outfit post as its been ages since I did my last one and I do really enjoy them! So I've already mentioned this to you guys in my post on Sunday, but this week I am back off to Canberra to a couple of things. One is to have a amazing time with my friends and some amazing people, and the other thing is a photo gig. On Friday I will be photographing a formal, which is my first ever paid job, but as well as photographing it I get to attend the formal itself! I am quite excited to get dressed up with the girls and to have a fun night out, but the only trouble is that I can't decide on what to wear. So I really need your guy's help by saying which one you like best!

So this is one of the two outfits that I am thinking of wearing. I absolutely love the colour combination of maroon and deep green with this outfit. Even though it may look like I'm representing Christmas, the colours so well with each other and the black tights breaks down the colour a bit. I also loved the feeling I had when I was wearing this outfit. It just felt so pretty and romantic like when I was prancing around in it. So that is definitely a another plus to wearing this one.

I will either post the second outfit choice tomorrow or on Thursday, so be sure to come back when it's up and cast your vote! I also wanted to mention that I have just made a Chictopia account and I am having a lot of fun with it. My Chicblog is HERE and if you haveone as well please feel free to add me to your friends.

The Poster Edition

Remember the poster sale I told you guys about a couple of weeks ago? Well the weather had finally been nice to me so I could take some pictures to share with you guys. And for something special I did a little photo shoot with an outfit. Pretty excited and I hope you guys like them.
This was the first poster I won at the auction. A lovely watercolour of a pretty garden fence by one of my classmates. Isn't it just too pretty for its own good?
The second poster I won is another watercolour of a very cute bearded man. It was a must have and a few people were jealous of my winning. The girl who did this is like an amazing drawer, I just love her style.
And finally this was my poster that I entered. Inspired by Lomography cameras it went to a lovely bidder at $15. Was very happy with it and have an extra for me to hang up.
Forever New shirt, Cotton On skirt, Gramins shoes, Dotti hat, vintage belt.
